Announces Afterschool
Programs to Aid Working Families
School-age
children who are unsupervised after school are far more likely to
use alcohol, drugs and tobacco, commit crimes, receive poor grades,
and drop out of school than those who are involved in supervised,
constructive after-school activities. Afterschool fairs over the
country - along with this new website - will connect schools, community
groups, parents and afterschool programs with existing federal resources.

applications received by the Patent and Trademark Office. If you're
an independent inventor, or want to be, the agency has launched
a website with resources to help you through the complexities and
legalities of obtaining a patent for what you invent
