Making the Net Work for Students
"Access America for Students will do for government services what Amazon.com did for selling books," says Greg Woods, Chief Operating Officer, Student Financial Assistance Programs, U.S. Department of Education. "No one will be able to put it back to the way it was."

Everything You Ever Wanted to Know About Adoption Online
If you are considering adoption or want to find your birth relatives, this website is the place to start. This site answers your questions about infant adoptions, intercountry adoptions, adopting special needs children, stepparent adoptions, and grants for local adoption initiatives. You can select a state and search for support groups, adoption agencies, lawyer referrals, and other adoption organizations and resources.

Defense's Online Central Contractor Registration
If your company wants to do business with the Defense Department, you can register on this site unless you have Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) capability, which has its own electronic registration. (You'll know who you are; everybody else keep reading). On this site, you can select an E-Z registration to provide the bare minimum of required information to become a "trading partner." Or, you can go for a more detailed registration. It may not be a piece of cake, but you'll find workbooks and software you can download to get plenty of help and complete the registration.

Biomedical Research Projects at Your Fingertips
You can access for free more than 2.4 million projects funded by the National Institutes of Health from 1986 to the present. These projects cover research on a vast number of diseases and disorders.
