Miami Field Hearing
The Commission on Affordable Housing and Health Facility Needs for Seniors in the 21st
Century held its fourth field hearing at the Elderly Housing and Development Corporation's
(EHDOC) Robert Sharp Tower I on January 14, 2002. EHDOC, a not for profit national developer
and operator of affordable housing for seniors hosted the event. The hearing addressed
both Florida and national efforts to see to it that housing and services are available to
seniors. The Commission used the Miami hearing as a starting point for the drafting of the
