San Diego Field Hearing
San Diego California Field Hearing The Commission on Affordable Housing and Health Facility Needs for Seniors in the 21st Century
held its third field hearing at the San Diego Marriott Hotel on Wednesday, November 7, 2001. The hearing was sponsored by the American
Association of Homes and Services for the Aging. The third field hearing follows the Commission's July field hearing Syracuse, New York
and September hearing in Columbus, Ohio. The Commission has chosen to address elements of its seven-point mandate at each of the first
three field hearings. The focus at San Diego was assessing the unmet present and future needs. The next field hearing will be January 14
at the Robert Sharp Towers in Miami, Florida and will focus on achieving better coordination of affordable housing and health services.
The Miami hearing will be hosted by the Elderly Housing Development and Operations Corporation.
