Can
Census 2000 Count on You?
Census
questionnaires will be delivered in March 2000 to about 118 million
households in time for "Census Day," April 1. Help get everyone
revved up to return their forms. Census figures "count" in determining
funding, roads, schools, and services your community may need, as
well as where to draw district lines for representation in Congress.
Help
Find Missing Children
If you
have any information on a missing child, call 1-800-THE-LOST or
report what you know online. On this site, you'll find a photo gallery
of missing children, search a database, and report what you know.
This is just one of many programs coordinated by the Department
of Justice's Missing and
Exploited Children's Program.
Are
Your Bank Accounts Safely Insured? Ask EDIE
Of course
you know that the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation insures
your bank accounts -- in FDIC-insured financial institutions --
up to $100,000. You may have more - or less - deposit insurance
coverage than you think. EDIE -- the Electronic Deposit Insurance
Estimator -- estimates your coverage based on your answers to a
series of questions about your accounts.
NIH's
Center for Information Technology's Website Gets Award
Last year, this National Institutes of Health website
won a CIO Web Business 50/50 Award as one of the top 50 Internet
or 50 intranet/extranet business sites. The site packs a lot of
punch to help NIH researchers and administrators manage grants and
conduct NIH business.
