Award
Vice President Gore's Hammer Award recognizes teams of
federal employees and their partners whose work resulted in a government
that works better and costs less. The National Partnership for
Reinventing Government administers this award.
Plain Language Award
Vice President Gore's No Gobbledygook Award recognizes federal employees
who write regulations, letters, and other government documents in
plain language that anyone can understand. The National Partnership
for Reinventing Government administers this award.

This awards program of the Ford Foundation and Harvard University
provides cash awards to innovative programs of state, local, and federal
