FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE CONTACT: Mark Weber PRESIDENT'S NEW FREEDOM COMMISSION ON MENTAL HEALTH TO HOLD THIRD MEETINGPresident Bush's "New Freedom Commission on Mental Health" will hold its third meeting August 7-8, 2002. The Commission will hear a panel presentation on cultural competency issues surrounding the delivery of mental health services to members of racial, ethnic and cultural groups, and also will address questions concerning employment and income support related to mental health. The Commission is charged with conducting a comprehensive study
of the United States mental health service delivery system, and advising
the President on methods of improving the system. The Commission,
consisting of 15 members appointed by the President and seven ex-officio
members, is chaired by Michael F. Hogan, Ph.D., Director, Ohio Department
