Advisory Commission on Electronic Commerce Posts Schedule for Upcoming New York Meeting
Commission Continues the Debate on Internet Taxation

WHAT: The Advisory Commission on Electronic Commerce will post the schedule later today for its September 14-15 meetings in New York City, New York. To view the schedule, please visit the Commission's Web site at http://www.ecommercecommission.org, under the calendar and meetings section. An agenda will be posted on the Web site prior to the meeting.

Appointed by Congress in October 1998 as part of the Internet Tax Freedom Act, the 19-member Commission has been tasked with studying the impact of federal, state, local, and international taxation and tariffs on transactions using the Internet and Internet access. The Commission's recommendations are due to Congress no later than April 21, 2000.
