Rita Poundstone

Rita Poundstone of Denver, Colorado is the Manager of the Supportive Services Program sponsored since 1989 by the Colorado Housing and Finance Authority (CHFA). This program provides training, education and networking opportunities to Service Coordinators employed by building owners, and establishes programs in elderly housing to enhance the living environment and support independent living for residents. Prior to joining CHFA in 1994, Ms. Poundstone was Executive Director of Families of the Blind, Inc. which promoted programs for residents of senior housing with severe vision loss to maximize independence and social integration. Ms. Poundstone was previously affiliated with the U.S. National Aeronautics and Space Administration as a Network Coordinator for the Public Service Satellite Consortium; with the U.S. Department of Health, Education and Welfare as an Interviewer for the Denver Income Maintenance Experiment; and with the U.S. Department of State, Equal Employment Opportunity Commission.
