The National Drought Policy Commission completed its work in May 2000.  Please do not send comments.  If you are experiencing technical difficulties with this site, please let us know.

This area is provided for any comments you wish to leave for the National Drought Policy Commission.  In addition to attending the public hearings, individuals are encouraged to submit information via the internet.   The Commission is particularly interested in hearing from the public on their personal experiences with drought, and the effects drought has had on the environment.   The Commission is also interested in learning how Federal, State, local, and tribal governments can better inform the public during drought, and the public’s experience in working with Federal, State, and/or local drought programs and policy.  The public is invited to share any additional comments, concerns, and issues for the Commission’s consideration as well.

Due to limited resources, the Commission regrets that it may not be able to personally respond to each and every comment.  Comments sent via e-mail or material mailed to the Commission will become part of the Commission's records.  Material may be mailed to the Commission's office located at 1400 Independence Ave., SW, Stop 0501, Washington, D.C. 20250-0501.  Please click on the following hyperlink to submit your comments to the Commission electronically: leona.dittus@usda.gov.
