(WASHINGTON, DC) -- The Trade Deficit Review Commission will hold a public hearing on Thursday, February 24, 2000, to take testimony from congressional leaders, and Administration and International Agency officials on the causes, consequences, and solutions for addressing the trade and current account deficits. A panel of experts from academia will address the future of trade and economic relations with China during the afternoon session. The hearing will be held from 10:00 am to 5:15 pm in Room 562 of the Dirksen Senate Office Building located at First Street and Constitution Avenue, N.E., Washington, DC 20510.
Public participation is invited. There will be an open-mike session for public comment at the conclusion of the afternoon session. Sign-up for the open-mike session will take place in the afternoon and will be on a first come first served basis.
