Comment: After 30 years as a CPA and university level instructor, I've noted one major flaw in the U.S. system of taxation. This flaw is also the major obstacle to true reform.

The country’s lawmakers have used the tax system to directly and indirectly control the behavior the population and to transfer wealth from one group to a more favored group. They are addicted power of the tax laws they write. As long as the tax system is used primarily to transfer wealth, as opposed to generate revenue, the tax laws will always be ridiculously complex… no matter what your panel comes up with.
