Subject: Fairtax Comment: Please give the Fair Tax National Sales Tax "fair" consideration in your investigations, deliberations, and recommendation to the President. I believe if you do that, you will quickly conclude that replacing our current Federal Income, Social Security, Estate, and Capital Gains taxes makes economic, as well as just plain common sense. I believe you will also see that the Fair Tax meets every guideline the President provided to your committee. You have a great responsibility, but an even greater opportunity to do good for our nation for many years to come. Please don't let the tax accountants, lawyers, lobbyists and vested interests in Congress deter you from making a recommendation to the President that represents the absolute best interests of the country and the tax paying public. |
