Subject: Tax Reform Comment: While any and all tax reform is welcome, what I think this country needs is the Fair Tax (www.fairtax.org) system. A national sales tax is the only fair system. Anyone who buys goods in this country (citizen or otherwise) will contribute to the US economy. The government will still be funded (though a few government workers, namely the IRS, will be in the unemployment line). BTW, the sales tax system has fueled one of the largest economies in the world for many years--that economy is the State of Texas. It's fair and it will work! |
