Washington, D.C. - Deputy Treasury Secretary Stuart Eizenstat, the Administration's lead person on Holocaust assets issues and a member of the Presidential Advisory Commission on Holocaust Assets in the United States, testified today before the House Committee on Banking and Financial Institutions about progress in international efforts to achieve justice for Holocuast victims and their families. Included in his remarks was a request for prompt consideration of HR 2401, the US Holocaust Assets Commission Extension Act of 1999.
