On December 2, 1999,
Vice President Gore's National Partnership for Reinventing Government
(NPR) joined the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) in unveiling
the newly redesigned U.S. Business Advisor Internet site.
The U. S. Business
Advisor is a one-stop, electronic gateway to government information and
services for the business community. It became the first Federal gateway
Internet site when it premiered on-line in February 1996. And, since then,
it's become a model for other interagency, audience-specific sites that
are a cornerstone of NPR's strategy to improve customer service by creating
an electronic government: "E-gov."
What's New and
Improved?
The U. S. Business
Advisor site was completely redesigned to help small firms save time,
be more productive, and find government information and services with
the click of a mouse -- anytime, anywhere. It has the potential to forever
change the way businesses interact with government.
