Vice President with Federal Innovation Award Winners

Washington, DC--Vice President Al Gore congratulates representatives from the federal programs that won the 1998 Innovations in American Government Award.

Left to right are Audrey Kuykendall, Planner, Northern New Mexico Collaborative Stewardship, US Forest Service; the Vice President; Ann Brown, Chair, Consumer Product Safety Commission, Fast-Track Product Recall; and Ernie Rennor, Director, Best Manufacturing Practices, Office of Naval Research, Department of the Navy. All three programs are associated with reinventing government. The Forest Service and Office of Naval Research programs are reinvention labs. The CPSC program received Vice President Gore's Hammer Award in 1997. (10/23/98)
