Semifinalists
April 30, 2001
The Innovations program announces
the selection of 99 semifinalists from among 1298 applicants to
the 2001 Innovations in American Government
Awards Program. Brief descriptions of each program are
included, and links have been provided to the programs where possible.
These descriptions are summarized from the applications submitted
by the semifinalists. The information has not been verified
by the Innovations Program.
From the 99 semifinalists, 15 finalists will be chosen in the
late summer. The winners will be selected by the National
Selection Committee in October. Each of the finalists will
be eligible for an award of $20,000, and the winners will each
receive an additional $80,000. If you would like more information
on any of these programs, contact the Innovations program at innovations@harvard.edu
