COMMISSION SETS AGENDA FOR
CHICAGO VISIT, MAY 20-21

WASHINGTON, D.C. -- The National Gambling Impact Study Commission today released the agenda (attached) for its May 20-21, 1998, meeting in Chicago, Illinois. Gathering in the auditorium of the James R. Thompson Center (100 West Randolph Street), the Commissioners and invited witnesses will engage in informative dialogue on the impact of riverboat and Internet gambling, and the Commissioners will be briefed on the regulatory structure of the financial markets. The two-day meeting is open to the public.

The Commission is trying to make arrangements for media at the Chicago meeting to have access to a media room. It is important that you contact Amy Ricketts (202-523-8196) if you plan to attend.
