Al-Qadisiyah Province
Description of Province Al-Diwaniyah is the capitol of the province. It is about 181 km south of Baghdad. The name, Al-Qadisiyah, is derived from the first Qadisiyah Battle between the Muslims in Iraq and the Persians in Iran. The people in this province are Shi'aa.
