Earlier expenditures funded equipment for 500 personnel but now need additional funding to expand communications system to all of building, to include audio-visual equipment to accommodate 1,300. #423, Compensation for Councilors, $3,452,900. The Board approved a Ministry of Public Works’ request for stipends payments to Governors, Councilors of Governorates, Mayors and City Councilors, through the end of the year.
#431, Communications Equipment for Ministry of Oil,† The Board approved the Ministry of Oil’s request for phone service and minutes to support oil distribution and connect ministry personnel to the depots, which received the endorsement of the Communications/Information Review Board. #441, Security for Governing Council and Training, $50,000, The Board approved an additional $50,000 for requirements which exceeded the estimate, and previously approved amount, by $50,000.
#435, Baghdad Theater Festival, $3,500, The Board approved this start-up cost to start theater production all over Baghdad. The CPA received $200K in international donor funds for production but were short $3,500 for stipends to pay actors, stagehands and producers. †Where the publication of approved funding levels may prejudice the competitive contracting processes, these amounts will be redacted.
