Citizens’ Health Care Working Group
Holds Public Meeting In Washington

Washington, DC, -- December 13, 2005 – The Citizens’ Health Care Working Group will hold public meetings this week in Washington, D.C. Agenda items for discussion include the nationwide community meetings and the questions to the American people to be used at the community meetings. The Citizens’ Health Care Working Group is a nonpartisan group authorized by the Medicare Prescription Drug, Improvement and Modernization Act of 2003, and is charged with listening to the views of the American people and developing recommendations for the President and Congress to provide citizens with “Health Care that Works for All Americans.” The initial report, The Health Report to the American People, serves as a base to engage the American people in a dialogue on health care access, cost and quality issues.
