Boston, Massachusetts. From left to right, twelve boxes represent nine major
points, representing stations or interlockings, and 3 intermediate points. From
left to right the stations are linked by the number of tracks as follows: Three
tracks link Washington, DC and Baltimore, two tracks link Baltimore and an intermediate
point between Baltimore and Philadelphia. Four tracks link this intermediate
point to Philadelphia. Four tracks also link Philadelphia to an intermediate
point between Philadelphia and New York Penn Station. Two tracks link this intermediate
and New York Penn Station. Four tracks link New York Penn Station and Harold
interlocking. Two tracks link Harold interlocking and New Rochelle. Four tracks
link New Rochelle and New Haven. Two tracks link New Haven and Providence. Two
tracks link Providence and an intermediate point between Providence and Boston.
