As founder and chief executive officer for HealthMagic, Inc., I believe I would contribute greatly to your goals of providing advice and recommendations to the Commission regarding implementation of certain fair information practices by domestic, commercial Web sites. I support your efforts to provide online consumers access to personal information collected and maintain adequate security for that information. HealthMagic, Inc. is a health information technology company that develops information management tools. I founded HealthMagic on the premise that health care information should be "consumer-centric" rather than "enterprise-centric." Wiese is the founder and Chief Executive Officer of HealthMagic, Inc. Prior to becoming the CEO, Mr. Wiese was Chairman of the Board as well as senior vice president of Adventist Health System. Mr. Wiese is nationally recognized for his innovative approach to healthcare financing and brings a significant knowledge of equity capital markets to the day-to-day operations of the company. Since he joined the Adventist Health Systems in 1983, he has held numerous positions, including special projects manager, director of internal auditing, controller, and vice president of finance. Previously, he was an auditor for Ernst & Young, LLP. Mr. Wiese is a certified public accountant and a certified management accountant. He received his masters' in business administration from Rollins College in Orlando, Florida. He received a bachelor of science degree in accounting and computer science from Southern Adventist University in Collegedale, Tennessee. |
