I would like to suggest that a survey be mailed to all quota owners and growers.  Many of them aren't online, therefore cannot participate in this forum.  Many are unaware of the commission and without being sent some type of mailing, won't be adequately informed.   Considering the ages of many of these farmers, I seriously doubt they would support pouring money into this re-training business.  I think a survey of what the farmers would like to see happen would be time and money well spent.  Many in leadership positions seem to know what we want and what's best for our future, but often what I hear them saying isn't at all what I hear from farmers themselves.
