Comment: Gentlemen/Ladies:
I believe that the so-called "fair tax" is another way to let those benefitting most from our society (ie. those with the highest income) off the hook for a real fair share of their tax burden. The only fair tax is a graduated income tax that measures real income and has few, if any, deductions or exemptions. Those having the greatest amount of income in excess of their spending needs should pay a higher tax, not a lower one! Capitalism should not mean that those with capital should be supported by those who don't have it. Support the middle classes, not the priviliged ones, and we will have a stronger middle class rather than a shrinking one.
