Comment: Gentlemen/Ladies: I believe that the so-called "fair tax" is another way to let those benefitting most from our society (ie. those with the highest income) off the hook for a real fair share of their tax burden. The only fair tax is a graduated income tax that measures real income and has few, if any, deductions or exemptions. Those having the greatest amount of income in excess of their spending needs should pay a higher tax, not a lower one! Capitalism should not mean that those with capital should be supported by those who don't have it.
