Comment: To President Bush's Tax Panel Committee,

Now that the elections are over and President Bush has started to full fill his promise of tax reform by appointing members to his Tax Reform Panel, the

Fair Tax Act will become a very prominent topic of discussion. It is currently receiving much publicity, and had 55 co-sponsors (more than any other tax bill being considered) at the close of the 108th Congress. It is my hope that you

will feel my letter is worthy of helping enlighten your readers on the benefits of tax reform and with this innovative tax bill in particular.

If you are not aware of the Fair Tax Act and the benefits the proposed bill

would bring to your business, your readers and our country as a whole, you

may wish to read from the website, which is included in my letter, prior to

making your decision to print, or not print, this letter.

May I take this opportunity to inform you that the bill is said to be the most

significant tax proposal ever made and has been extremely well researched by Americans for Fair Taxation, a nonprofit nonpartisan tax reform group based in Houston, TX. They have collected and spent over $22 million donated dollars hiring polling companies to conduct focus studies; a number of well-known economists to draft the bill, using the information gathered during the focus studies; and spent two years and five million dollars test marketing the bill prior

to Representative John Linder presenting the Fair Tax Act to the 106th Congress. Rep. Linder has reintroduced the bill to each Congress since, including the current 109th Congress.

Sincerely,

Brian Sexton
