Subject: AMT tax on ISO's

Comment: In 1999-2001, I was employed by a start-up telecommunications company that offered me ISO's. I purchased them for a strike price of $75,000. I paid $156,000 in AMT taxes. The company went bankrupt and I got one penny a share for the stock. I also lost the job. I am now a retiree (from another company where I worked for 33 years) with a pension of $39,959.00 a year. Being in a low tax bracket, I will never live long enough to use all of my AMT credit.
