Subject: taxation of employer sponsored health plan benefits Comment: Taxing employer sponsored health benefits will only increase the number of uninsured in this country as more employers will discontinue plans and employees drop coverage. It is a struggle for both employers and employees to afford coverage as it is now. Employer sponsored health plans are one of the few things that are currently working (where they exist) in our health system today. The government should be working to encourage employer sponsored health coverage, not discourage it. |
