Subject: FairTax Comment: I wish to express my support for the abolishment of the IRS and the 16th amendment and the adoption of the national retail sales tax (HR25, S25). Also known as the FairTax (www.fairtax.org), this tax allows Americans to keep all of their paychecks while funding the government at the same levels as today. It does this without undue burden on the poor or those on fixed incomes through the use of a prebate of taxes up to the poverty level for all families. It would encourage huge growth in domestic business as well as in international trade. Please! Give us back our independence, improve the lives of all Americans, propose the FairTax to President Bush and Congress! |
