Subject: Reduce the burden

Comment: Until 1913 the United States Governement was funded by taxes on imported goods. We need to get back to that. Raising taxes on imports would force American companies to keep jobs here (instead of out-sourcing to avoid taxes). Higher prices on imports would force Americans to buy American and increase demand would mean an increase in jobs.

Some exeptions could be made for oil food, and other goods, that if taxed, would place an added burden on US citizens.

The lessened income tax would become more of a spending tax.
