Subject: Tax Reform Absolutely Needed Comment: Although I am retired and on fixed income, I have spent countless hours doing my taxes each year simply because I fortunately have a little savings to draw on. The USA MUST discard the IRS and the present system in favor of a broad based FLAT TAX that everyone must pay. I am not rich! Why is the tax burden always shifted to the so-called rich? Many newly liberated european countries have gone to the FLAT TAX system after seeing what a gargantuan oppressive IRS system has done to stifle enterprise in the USA. I volunteer as a small business counselor with SCORE and see many ideas for a business startup die when we have to factor in the expected tax burden from the present IRS system into a business plan. |
