Subject: FairTax

Comment: I support the FairTax as researched and proposed in S25, and HR 25. Many studies have shown that a 23% NRST would be revenue neutral, fund Social Security and Medicare.
The FairTax would be easy to implement because 45 states already have the system in place for collecting sales taxes. States receive a small % of tax collected to pay for the process.
The FairTax would be easy to enforce. there would be a 90% drop in the number of filers to oversee. Large retailers would collect the most, and would find it difficult to cheat.
The economy would benefit greatly, eliminating incentives to move business
offshore. Workers would have more money to spend, save, and donate to charity.
The FairTax is the answer to tax reform.
I hope that the entrenched special interests who now benefit from the present tax code will not be allowed to pressure the decision-makers into any plan other than the FairTax.
Thank You.
