Subject: Removal of Mortgage Interest Deduction Comment: As a Realtor in Alpharetta, GA I see on a daily basis, the benefits of home ownership. While it may not be the only reason people buy homes, I believe the tax benefits received when one owns a home are very important ones. It certainly is a key point in my argument in favor of home ownership vs. apartment renting. It would be a severe blow to the real estate industry if this deduction were to be eliminated. |
