Comment: It is a known fact that the present system of taxation is very complicated and outdated. It is very detrimental to the poor and middle-class taxpayers. I have read much about the Fair Tax Act (HR25 - S25), and I believe this is the best tax reform system that should be implemented along with the repeal of the 16th Amendment. I could go into a diatribe as to the disadvantages of our present tax system, and the benefits of the Fair Tax Act, but I believe that is this panel is doing the job assigned to you, you will already know these facts.
