Subject: Tax Code

Comment: The federal tax code is a travisity. By this I mean, no one really understands, not even the IRS. You can go to three different offices of the IRS and get 3 different opinions.

I suggest that we go to a flat income tax (10%) with no allowable deductions. Additionally, I suggest a Value added tax on all purchases. This addresses the fairness issue. The VAT would tax indivduals, rich and poor, based on their purchases. Therefore, the rich would pay proportionally more based on their purchases as opposed to the poor.

This is probably too simple of a solution for a politician to accept. But, it would eliminate the nightmare that exists today.
