Subject: IRS preparing my tax bill

Comment: For those individuals who have very simple tax forms to file (essentially based on W-2 forms, the idea may have some merit. However, from time to time the IRS has erred in its examination of submitted tax forms. For those who have more complex forms (such as investors, people who depend on receiving reports from mutual funds, etc.), an extension is generally required. Also, due to the complexity of the tax code, there are too many variants involved and I hope, if possible, that an option can exist which will allow people to use the traditional method. I am in favor of a flat tax as long as there is some way to continue to encourage people to contribute to legitimate and recognized activities which provide services not provided by the federal or state governments. I am also wary of the objectives of our current administration which may end up making the whole process even more confusing.
