Subject: Tax Reform Comment: As simplistic as it may seem, I propose that the present system be eliminated and replaced with an across the board flat tax rate for individuals, profit making organizations, and other corporate entities doing away with all deductions and tax brakes thereby eliminating the necessity for annual filing of income tax forms. Furthermore, the IRS should be replaced with a simple tax collection agency. Also, all state sales taxes, Federal & State gas taxes, road tolls & other revenue generating devices could be done away with. The states would receive from the federal gov. monies on per capita & regional need bases. The fact is that all realestate, sales, school, state income taxes, and other local taxes come out of an individual's net income after Federal withholding where the total gross income is used for that calculation. Our money should not be taxed more than once. The founding fathers guaranteed as much. Thank you. |
