Subject: Tax on company provided benefits

Comment: totally opposite of all rhetoric and efforts to improve health care coverage. In recent years, with increased cost sharing for company provided coverage, employees are already paying more out of pocket than the value of annual base pay increases and falling farther behind and this will get worse as inflation heats up. Benefits costs are shared by ALL employees, regardless of income level, whereas the AMT typically affects higher paid management who are more often the recipients of qualified stock options, which tend to trigger AMT. Therefore the tax on benefits coverage affects the poorer population.
