Subject: Health Insurance Payments Tax Proposal

Comment: This is absolutely the most inane notion I've heard in years. The burden of these benefits has already left a steadily increasing percentage of people to not have any coverage at all. If you tax the benefit, even more people will go uncovered. That puts physicians like me, in private practice, already doing 20-30% pure charity work (uninsured people get sick, and I am obligated both ethically and BY LAW to care for them), into a position where I will simply not survive economically. That means I won't be there when your child perforates his appendix.

Tax the plaintiff's bar. The last democratic vice presidential candidate's taxes alone would likely settle the issue imposed by eliminating the AMT.
