Subject: Health Care Benefits Tax

Comment: I don't know that I can truly express my feelings for the news I read regarding the Health Care Benefits Tax being considered. Why is the tax payer who is already carrying a very large burden always the source for more and more revenue to bail out programs that apparently are not completely thought out. If we as a country are living beyond our means, then isn't it time we start looking at our population and especially the working class and spend some of those billions that are leaving the country where it needs to be spent. Who was it that said "America for Americans", while the context in which it was said may have been different. I would like to borrow that phrase and say that as Americans we need to start taking care of our own. Families are struggling regardless of the so called improvement in our economy and you are considering adding more to their tax burden. If we did not have a way to pay for tax cuts, then why on earth did we go along with them? President Bush better be glad he is not running for reelection because I don't think his own party would support him; and I happen to be Republican who also voted for him - both times.
