Subject: Disaster Relief and FEMA

Comment: FEMA and whatever tax organization that replaces the wasteful IRS should have a form that informs the tax group that businesses or persons have suffered horrible lost due to uncontrolled events, so DON't Bend them over the table when taxes are late or can't be submitted.

I was talking to a local business person who lost about $300,000-500,000 dollars in equipment, building repairs, supplies, and a good portion of his records due to flooding caused by IVAN. He can't finish 2004 Taxes and IRS does not want to here about it, so they pile on interest and fees on his taxes. SBA was worthless to help any business effected by disasters. A loan offer is a joke. They lost a good portion of their assets, so they are going to owe more? Good way to go out of business quick.

Quit playing Beltway Stupidity and DO the job handed to you. Fair Tax, Flat-rate Tax, or whatever; just make taxes easy as 1-2-3!!!
