Subject: Taxing employees on employer-provided health benefits

Comment: This proposed bill demonstrates a complete lack of leadership by those who are entrusted with running our country. I know it's hard for those of you with low-cost health insurance coverage to understand that there are people who can't even think about getting medical care due to the cost. Do you honestly think that increasing the cost of health coverage is a solution to the current crisis?
My son had to file for bankruptcy due to a broken leg and his girlfriend is blind in one eye because her parents couldn't afford insurance or medical care when she was 8 years old.
Have you calculated how many children will suffer death or permanent disabilities when you help to increase the costs? If so, would this still be acceptable if the casualties were members of your immediate family?
I have an alternative solution to keep more money in the treasury: discontinue all pension payments to elected officials and roll back Congressional salaries to pre-1990 levels.
