Subject: FairTax, all over again

Comment: The Committee on Ways and Means has been well informed on all the advantages of the FairTax for a long time. In fact they’ve heard from experts on the subject all the way back to April 2000. And what do we have to show for all this testimony? Nothing. We still have the same archaic tax code, the same 60,000 pages of, as Connie Mack puts it, “Something I can’t even understand!” So, will this recent round to “tax reform” discussions bear any fruit? I certainly doubt it.

See all the testimonies:

Honestly I don’t think the government will ever do anything to reform the tax system. They can’t. The thing is too big and out of control and they don’t have the comprehension nor backbone to do anything about it.

When was the last time our government did anything nice for the taxpayers of this country? Oh wait; it was when they made my 90 year old grandmother remove her shoes at the airport. Thanks.

It’s time for the FairTax!
