Subject: FairTax, all over again Comment: The Committee on Ways and Means has been well informed on all the advantages of the FairTax for a long time. In fact they’ve heard from experts on the subject all the way back to April 2000. And what do we have to show for all this testimony? Nothing. We still have the same archaic tax code, the same 60,000 pages of, as Connie Mack puts it, “Something I can’t even understand!” So, will this recent round to “tax reform” discussions bear any fruit? I certainly doubt it.
