Subject: National Tax replace Income Tax

Comment: The United States should consider making a National Sales Tax to replace the Income tax that is a burden to many Americans. There are several unfair qualities of the current taxation policy. Giving a lower rate to those in lower income brackets and not giving the same advantage and policy to the higher end brackets is not right. The government should be able to take more money away if the individual is profitable and prosperous. However, very rich people have the opportunity of hiring a tax lawyers to decrease their taxes by exploiting them. Also, those that work under the table will still have to pay the national income tax, for the fact that everyone spends money. The federal tax will be a consumption tax to all who make a purchase. Those who pay under the table will be able to do so, and when the person who was paid buys something, they will be taxed. It avoids the dispute over tax percentages of the rich vs. the poor. The proposal is not unfair because the wealthy spend more than the poor anyway. It would get rid of the lengthy job of filing taxes, and eliminate corporations such as the IRS, which would slightly help our ever increasing national debt. So the logical vote for equality, and my personal vote, goes towards the suggestion of replacing the Income Tax with a National Sales Tax.
