If reports regarding your proposal are true that you will propose merely tweaks such as decreasing the home interest deduction and limiting the business health benefits deduction, then you most certainly have categorically FAILED in your mission! These changes will have quite the opposite effect and will in fact further complicate the system, increase the compliance burdens, and promote economic decline! I urge you to reconsider the FairTax program in its pure form as detailed in HR 25. This is the only system that truly accomplishes the tasks of reducing burdens of complexity and compliance. You must give this tax system a fair review. America is counting on you to make the right choice, the bold choice, and to make a proposal that will free us from the chains of our current tax system.
