Subject: fair tax Comment: I listened to the different presentations aired on CSPAN and I was impressed and convinced that the Fair Tax proposal is the ONLY real workable fair system. Most Americans are not opposed to paying taxes but with any system other than the proposed Fair Tax there is the potential for loop holes giving advantage to special interest groups. In addition it collects taxes from those now avoiding the current system through illegal activities, such as drugs and vices. My plea is don't "patch" at a system so faulty as the current one. Replace it with the sales tax as proposed by the Americans For Fair Taxation and abolish the Sixteenth Admendment. David W. Sibole |
