Subject: Taxing Health Benefits

Comment: This is ridiculous to even consider. Employees suffer cuts to their coverage every year with increased premium sharing, higher deductibles, higher prescription copays, etc. As a human resource professional, it is my job to access our benefits and determine how to maintain coverage while not incurring 12 -15% annual increases. ENOUGH! A solution needs to be found, and it certainly isn't in penalizing the employees. Why isn't there some type of panel who is seriously looking at the heatlh care issue and coming up with a program that guarantees that all Americans have coverage. We can examine other countries and come up with some type of blended plan. The standard of living in this country continues to decline. The middle class as we have known it is becoming an endangered species. Let's stop supporting oil companies and the ultra rich with tax cuts and think about the average family who is trying to raise their children and provide for their post-secondary education. How can we complete in a world economy if we keep falling behind? We need to support families--not cause them to choose between food/house payment or medical care. WAKE UP WASHINGTON!!!
