Subject: rant Comment: I read with great concern about all of the honest taxpayers who have suffered great hardship for exercising their incentive stock options, etc. and have had to pay enormous sums of money to our government. I can’t figure out why one would have to pay tax on a paper gain. It’s not fair. I too have experienced the same adversity although not to the degree of some that I’ve read about on this site have. When will we wake up and realize that our government doesn’t care about the problems of the working middle class? Our government is run by businessmen and lawyers whose number one priority is to make money for them, their pet projects, and their cronies. They will derive funds from whatever source available. They would probably triple tax dividends if they thought they could do it. So what if I can’t afford health insurance now that I’ve paid my taxes. So what if the working middle class is about to go under due to an unfair tax code. So what if I have to give up my kid’s college fund, my retirement fund, and get a second on my house due to unfair AMT. Don’t you realize that our government needs this money in order to spread our “democracy” to a country that didn’t want it in the first place? How many more bombs do we, as a “peace-loving” country, have to build to change that country’s mind? How many more lives will have to be sacrificed? Why would Iraq want a democracy like we have in the U.S. when they see what our government is doing to its own citizens? Why does our government have such a big need to force the rules of our society on that of another? Can’t we just guard our own borders and take care of ourselves? The government doesn’t care that its own people are suffering. After all, they wrote the tax code. It’s their plan. Look up the definition of “tax reform” in the dictionary. You’ll find that it means “Con Job”. Why would the government change the tax code when their getting their money? The middle class want tax reform because we’re the source of funds! Those who have to pay scream the loudest. Remember, there’s no such thing as “government money”, only “tax payer money.” The working middle class serves one purpose and that is to make sure our colossal behemoth of a government never runs out of money. Slaves, we are. Fair Tax HR25 gets my vote. |
