Subject: Tax Base Comment: The FairTax (HR 25 / S 25) is the only plan that effectively broadens the tax base. Common sense tells us that if you have a certain amount of money that is needed by the federal government to operate and you increase the number of people paying for it, then everyone will have a smaller tax bill. The FairTax accomplishes this very effectively and does it with out taxing the "Poor". The prebate in the FairTax eliminates all tax liabilities for everyone living at or below the poverty level. If this is not "FAIR" then what is? |
